A little bit about me...
Where to start... Well I'm an Office Coordinator by day and dreamer/ writer by night. I love to read, I usually have more than one book on the go at a time. I'm currently juggling Maeve Binchys The Writers Club, and finding it both motivating and inspiring and a book on Literary Theory: A very short Introduction.
I've always dreamed of having a degree and becoming a writer so in September 2010, I undertook a four year degree at DBS - BA (Hons) Film, Literature & Drama & I'm about to start my 3rd year. Since then, I've been on a mission to make my dream of becoming a writer come true. I started my second more sensicle (Yes its a word, even if only in the Urban dictionary) blog 'Diary of a Writer' mainly because I wanted to inspire or try to help those like myself, who didnt know where to start. I remember being so lost and there really is nothing out there to guide you except trial and error. I want to change that.
I've also written features for my college radio website - Radio DBS and I'm in the process of setting up the DBS Literary Magazine which is due to be published in September.
I spent some time as the local community correspondent for the Crumlin/Drimnagh/Kimmage area, for mylocalnews.ie, covering all events of local interest. Now I'm the latest edition to a long list of contributors for Film Ireland Magazine and Krank.ie.
